753 restore

Thanking about just cleaning the block and  reseating the motor and doing the valves what do y'all think it was not smoking thank I should put rings in too

Clean the motor and started putting it back together and painted the gas tank today

If it wasn’t smoking and you haven’t pulled the piston, I would just do the valves.

Got the motor bolted down and put gear oil in the transmission today the old 753 slowly coming back to life

Put the flywheel and the drive pulley on the motor and clean all the bolts up that go on the motor too going to have to make a new upper steering shaft the old one is way to bad to fix going to be fun trying to drill them holes out

Fix the upper steering shaft and the lift rod and spring assembly and sanded some parts too

Looking good Chris. What was your thoughts on a blacked out motor? I did it once on a 1067 resto and it worked and Cindy's 702 just cause I didn't think a red motor would pair well with candy apple. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have stripped the motor and had Dan shoot it in CA. 

BTW Dan had yer old ride at a show past weekend and claims two pulls to start. SOB never offered me seat time but tooled around on it abit ...:lol:

Thats the color i paint all my motors two me it's just to much red need some other color black just goes with the red too me

Back to the drawing board have to pull the motor back off and take it apart the tabe on the governor cross shaft  broke off that's great 😂😂

Did little today just some painting on some pices hoping Tuesday to rebuilt the generator then get it on and worked on the wiring next that's the planned this week

Well ran into a problem the generator was worse than what I thought had to order a new charging coil will have it Friday hoping to have it done that day

Did a little tonight got the ing. coil, the points and adjusted them and the exhaust bracket on
