It would be some handy behind a gas tank on the ignition switch of a C series or older stuff There’s a fair amount of older stuff out there that has this. The big problem with these was usually water and elements penetration at the crimp. With the sealed shrink wrap and the connector packed with di-electric grease, that should no longer be an issue. That's how I build all my own harnesses too. Nice to see somebody doing it right. I hear @WHX?? 953 nut 58,491 #10 Posted October 12, 2022 Delphi Packard 56 terminals will make a superior connection and are worth the extra expense on anything you plan to keep. They also fit into the terminal blocks used

I prefer Deutsch connectors as they are weather tight and heavy duty.
peter lena 9,137 #13 Posted October 12, 2022 @Bow_Extreme can appreciate the original concept , also the shrink wrapping , very efficient , where I would draw the line is wiring layout , avoid tight binding areas , keep hot spots in an air flow area , increase , verify , grounding thru the battery cable ground bolt point , add on bolt electrical lugs , to connection areas . just a suggestion / opportunity , pete

WHX?? 50,940 #24 Posted October 12, 2022 (edited) Guessing thats the crimper I need for these? For repairing the connectors on the horse hauler fuel station that got ripped out when a tire blew. I was going to solder them on but wouldn't be beyond having a set. What kind of power/ampss can Deutch connectors handle.? Looks like we have the same strippers Matt. These do work really slick.
