Just found a machine shop nearby that will bore the block. Guy said about 70 bucks.

Not bad at all. You won't regret going that route...

Be sure to have your new piston to give the person doing the bore job you can't have that done until you have a new one

Is this a centrifugal clutch that was welded engaged and mounted backwards?

this was being used to drive the home made mower deck drive set up. On this cub.

mounted on the outboard side of the shaft that drives / gets driven by the starter generator.

All sorts of oddities on this machine.

Im just gonna get rid of it, and the mower deck.

This machine will be for towing, or plowing, putting around only.

Which side of the motor is considered the “front”

manual describes driving the cam shaft pin out with a punch from “front” of engine.

is that the flywheel side, or opposite?

One with 2 sizes on it?

What I really need/want is the pulley on the motor that gets driven by the starter generator.

That or convert to a standard starter and alternator flywheel.

The pulley on this one for that was damaged like the hub sheared from the rest of the pulley, and what brazed back together.

Yessir, you can see it in this picture next to the green c-clamp.

These pulleys aren't exactly cheap...
