ID plates and serial numbers by CasualObserver
1961 Suburban - early used the top section of the 1960 plate, cut off and screwed to the hood stand.
1961 Suburban - later used a decal on the right frame rail ahead of the foot peg.
Tractor drive belt for 401 and 551 #1569 - (4L x 28.95" or 1/2" x 28.95")
Tractor drive belt for 701 #1576 replaced by 9691 - 1/2" x 70"

Original Wheel Horse 1583 nla Used on 6, 7, 8hp Kohler Starter generator {3Lx33" in belt charts is 3/8" x 33" but some applications use a shorter belt. Belt should have raw rubber sides for grip.}

Model 701 only model to use braces on the rear fenders because the tool box was short.
701 used Kohler K161S-28522E. Toro have the engine used as K161S-28622E as used on the 702
3 photos 463KB supplied by CasualObserver for dimensions. Brace not in the parts list.
