  • Need hood for 300-400 GT-1800 series

    I'm hoping to find a decent used hood for my GT-1848 at a "reasonable" price.  When I got the tractor, it had been repowered with a Honda GX-610 and whoever did it cut out a large piece of the hood on the right side to fit the muffler. I have since switched to a stack and welded a piece of sheet metal on there, but I'm not very good at body work and I'd like to fix this baby up and repaint it.

     

    I see one on eBay for $149, free shipping, which isn't too bad but a bit more than I'd hoped to pay. I gave a way a 520 hood a while back because I didn't need it and have sold some parts to other members here at what I think are pretty good prices.

     

    Anyone have one?   The eBay listing says it's for "Toro Wheel Horse 416-H 518 516 417 414 314 312 310 308 Tractor Hood 112358".  I didn't know there were any 500's that used the hood without the console cut-out but I guess the 516 and 518 do.

     

    BTW, I'm going to be driving to Boston soon, leaving next Tuesday, through northeastern Ohio, through PA near Erie, and across Upstate NY.  Then driving down to NJ for a few days, then back to Indiana through PA and Ohio, if there's anything I could pick up on the way there or back.  Thanks!

    Will you be coming thru Poughkeepsie on a Tuesday or Wednesday?  If so I  have a hood you can have.
