Mixing the old with the New (er)

I've been wanting to do this for a while. Skonk  (1267) is my favorite puttin around tractor  and I have all ready installed frt. and mid Tach-O-Matics. So now after fixing an oil breather leak, it's time to install the more plentiful std.  deck. Just had to figure out how to lift it as the 1267 doesn't have the lift bar nor holes in the frame to install one. Used a chain and trunion from the rock shaft and drilled a hole in the deck bar to attach the chain. I do need to add a link or two.

how does the muffler preform? i have been looking at them and herd good and bad for a 10 hp.

This tractor is/was loud. It's a Gravely muffler with an extra baffle welded into the stack.

This motor is louder than anything I ever had for some reason. It started out with a pepper pot on it that rattled the windows. I got this Gravely muffler but it's made much cheaper than one I got previous for my Power King. The extra baffle in the stack helps a lot. I tried one of Bud Andrews mufflers. They look great but was too loud for running after dinner mowing the lawn. I don't know why this K301 is so loud. The K321 on the PK sounds great with the Gravely unit.

 I have been using these cub cadet style mufflers, I think they are not to loud, just have to cut off the mounting tab welded to the side.  I am wondering how many tree's  you will run into sitting on that seat. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
