johnk 29 #1 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) need to know the length of the brake/clutch rod and the size of the idler pulley for my 400. does the idler pulley lift the belt or does it push it down like my rj 58 if you have any pics it would be great thanks john I think the pulley lifts the belt up and need the length of the spring to thanks again Edited February 18, 2015 by johnk
Racinbob 10,278 #2 Posted February 18, 2015 The rod is 20 7/8". The idler pulley is 3". It does 'lift' the belt to tension. The clutch spring is 4 1/2" overall, coils are approx. 3 1/2" long and 5/8" diameter.

johnk 29 #4 Posted February 18, 2015 good deal thanks a lot does the pulley have a bushing or a bearing?
Racinbob 10,278 #5 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) It's a bearing. As pictured it's being held in place at approx. the location of where it would be if was tensioning the belt, maybe a little higher. I measured the rod to the outside of the trunnions. The spring goes on the little tab welded on the frame but I don't have a spring yet. Edited February 18, 2015 by Racinbob
