rmaynard 14,897 #1 Posted August 27, 2014 I am saving money to build a small pole shed for the herd and all the parts and accessories that I have accumulated, but in the meantime, I took advantage of the 25% off Harbor Freight coupon and bought a portable 10' x 17' garage. Since it's on dirt, I put down pallets. Now, all my parts and accessories have a place out of the garage, and out of the weather. If I need to store a tractor, I just remove a couple of pallets. Not too bad for only $149.00.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,040 #2 Posted August 27, 2014 Bob- These tents are a great solution. I tend not to storge tractors in there as the mice love the warmth the tent brings and they get in the engines. Storing parts and attachments are perfect.
Ed Kennell 35,770 #3 Posted August 27, 2014 Is that 10X20 Bob ? I keep my boat in Delaware in one of these that I bought about 5 years ago at Pep Boys that is due to be replaced. I think I paid $250 for that one.

fireman 1,021 #5 Posted August 27, 2014 Make sure you anchor that down good or it will look like a scene from The Wizard of Oz!
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,040 #6 Posted August 27, 2014 And I would caution you to add a 2x support as a ridge and support it to the ground due to snow loads. Been there and done that in winter of 2010 x2....

Fun Engineer 859 #11 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) I used something similar for the last four years Bob before I built my barn, excellent choice. Right on about the mice I had nests and poop everywhere, Good for metal storage but not so good for engines with plastic coated wire. I even used mine as a temporary spray booth. Sold it to the guy that built my barn for a little more than half what I paid for it. I got four years good use out of it with plenty of snow on it. I would go out every three or four days with a push broom and from inside just push up gently on the top and most of the snow slid right off.
