Deere Hunter 54 #1 Posted January 30, 2013 Picked up this mini milling machine last weekend. Came with a lot of extras and no idea what some of the tooling is used for. Already made a carb adaptor for one of my pullers. I have no experience with anything like this, so I'm sure I will screw up some things with this lol

fireman 1,021 #4 Posted January 30, 2013 Nice! It's great having a mill in the shop so you can make your own stuff. Looks like you hot a ton of extras with it. Pretty soon you'll want to upgrade to a bigger mill with more capacity.

midnight rambler 36 #7 Posted January 30, 2013 i hve one of those and the problem i found is the low range is still to fast for lager size bits and pops the overload in the machine itself, and yes the bits are sharp. i like the machine, it does a great job

Deere Hunter 54 #11 Posted January 31, 2013 It's a learning experince for sure. Just played around with a few different cutters just to see what it can do. Once i get the hang of it i am sure I will want a bigger unit. Just doubt I could afford it. But for now it should do all I need it to. On the plus side I still have less in the package deal then if I would try to buy a new unit similar to this one. Now if I could just find a deal on a nice lathe...
