kj4kicks 151 #1 Posted June 10, 2008 When the trio came to visit a few weeks ago, they noticed the Koi pond in my back yard. While I had the camera out today, I got a few new pics. We built this over the course of 3 years, and in 3 different sections. The second phase included the new deck and bridge. It's soon time for it to grow again, so I wanted to document it as it sits. The largest Koi is 22" and about 6 years old.He was about 4" when we got him. About half of the fish were "free", meaning they born here. It's a very relaxing place to have my morning coffee, when I take the time.... More pics can be seen HERE

kj4kicks 151 #7 Posted June 10, 2008 do you have any trouble with crane's coming in and catching your fish ?. So far we've been lucky. There is a tree that covers a large portion of it, so I don't think the fisheaters can see it too well (knock on wood smilie) Stephen, these guys will nibble on anything that is in their water, so I'd be careful swimming there Don't worry TT. Next time I'll clean the filters before I leave, so I can stay a little longer! Thanks guys for the comps ! Can't wait to see pics of your pond Duke.
Nick 13 #8 Posted June 10, 2008 That is a very nice setup. That looks like a lot of work and Im sure you enjoy it. I wonder if my cats would eat or be eaten by the big ones. Either way im sure they would watch hypnotised for hours. :WRS:
