Greg Parnell 6 #1 Posted July 9, 2009 How is the round hood suppose to mount to the frame in front on a 753/702? I'm using a bolt and nut to hold it on but after looking at some photos I don't think that is right. Thanks for the help!
JimD 3,347 #2 Posted July 9, 2009 the round hood were attached to the tractor by 3 knurled, threaded knobs. one at the front where you have that bolt, and one on each side of the hood at the gas tank. you can find them on ebay frequently.
TJ 184 #3 Posted July 9, 2009 Here is a picture of knurled bolts. The long one attaches through the frame, and into the front of the hood. This is as good a picture of the bolt as I can find right now. Hope this helps. Tom

sorekiwi 761 #5 Posted July 9, 2009 In addition to what the others have said, the right angle bracket on the bottom of the hood was origionally threaded to accept the thumbscrew. Once the threads are torn out you are need to use a nut, or preferably weld a nut onto the back of the bracket.
