Anyone got a wiring diagram for a wheelhorse R26 Tecumseh engine 5.5hp please - has had new points and condenser, it turns over on key but getting no spark! Any ideas gratefully received 😊 thank you

You have a magneto ignition. Which means no wire should be connected to the key to achieve spark. The wire at the key grounds the mag to shut the engine off. See if there is a wire from that coil to the key switch. if there is one disconnect it and see if you have spark. If somehow you have the wrong switch or applied power to that wire, your coil is probably cooked and a very hard to find part.

We do not have a wiring diagram for this model. This one may be the same. Click on the picture in the link to view or download.

You should be able to test the coil.

Get the ignition wire free from the condenser to test.

Check and record the resistance of the primary coil - ignition wire to ground - will be low like 3-5 ohms a guess.

Check and record the resistance of the secondary coil - plug wire to ground - should be 5000-7000 ohms a guess

Check the resistance of both coils - ignition wire to plug wire - should be 5003-7005 ohms a guess.

The above values are a guess. One will be very low and the other much higher.

This file explains the above. Click on the picture in the link and again on the text page that comes up so it will enlarge.

WHX??

Yes you have a magneto ignition with charging coils which are the two coils with open windings.  Someone has got the charging system seriously hot wired. Looks like the diode holders are jumpered which will never work you would feed ac to the battery.

The center terminal on the board between the two yellow connectors is the landing spot for the kill wire which Sqounk spoke of. This is where you should separate wires to eliminate a faulty ignition switch. The ignition switch is a 70 amp direct to starter with a I terminal that is grounded in the off position

. Points are always problematic on these motors.

WHX??

Info on charging circuit. The spark side of things a diagram is really not needed it's so simple.
