Low RPM is ONLY to be used right before shut down and some folks don't even do that. You'll find no such controversy here. Everyone has preferences toward different models. Value is more based on what the current owner's opinion is. Nice tractor. Thank you for the comment. Raising the idle RPM was the first thing I adjusted on this tractor. Back before they put Tachometers on tractors, my Dad and my Grand Dad taught me how to “listen” to an engine and I agree that low idle can cause issues for sure. My Grand Dad has since past may years ago and my Dad who is now 82 years old and I have started messing with these old tractors again to get him out of the house and back in the shop. I 100% agree that the value of a tractor or anything really is in the eyes of the beholder. For myself, I am in it for the memories I am making that have no tangible value to anyone else but, is absolutely priceless to me. Thank you

I hope this does not offend anyone but 😁…… you can see a chain hooked to the back of the tractor and a sign in the background because…. Somehow I had a green tractor (not to mention any brand names) in my garage that I decided to sell since my garage is filling up with Red Tractors and the John ….. I mean the green tractor wouldn’t start and had to pull it back to the shop. 😂 Believe me... I've had to do the very same thing lot's and lot's and lot's of times... pulling out the Green LX176 and the green zero turn... I’m sure the day is coming that wife says I need to downsize and some of these will be in search of a new home. So far she is tolerating it but, she hasn’t been in the shop for a while either. 😳😇 1

I personally like the round hood look and am tolerant of "techys" but many folks here might say you are WAY better off with the Raider and its Kohler!
