ok so today i went back to rodgers OH biggg auction up there first tuesday of every month and they have everything!!!!...and some people will know thats where i picked up the 654 i got last month...well lets just say i picked up a commando 6 the motor is out of it and in a million pieces as you can see.. what motor supposed to be on it??...and also picked up a 2 blade rear discharge mower deck seriel....504997 what year would that be??...thanks jeff

It would have came with a H60 Tecumseh...

Can't tell anything about the mower deck by the serial number... Probably a RM326 or RM366...

thanks bell. and thats whats with it a h60......hopefully i can ge this thing back together and restored i need to stop buying and start restoring!

With a serial # of 504997 it is likely a 1968 model 5-2321 32" deck.

That deck goes with the tractor. I had a Commando six and that was the deck. It is a very good set-up for a small yard.

I have a 68 Commando six also. As previously stated, the deck you have is for your tractor. My dad had this mower since new, and gave it to me a few years ago. Mine is still working well. My engine plate says it's an HH60 Tecumseh 6 HP. Has a lot of use on it, but still works very well, but is no longer my main mower, lawn takes a little to long to mow it all with this little jewel.

Sorry, guys, I just found this site and was looking at the forums and came across this one. Didn't realize the date until you called it to my attention. Glad to be here. Would post a pic of my Commando 6 but don't have a digital camera. Hope to read here often.
