I don’t see how sanding by hand would remove enough material to cause the pulley to wobble on the shaft…

Where did you get the pulley ?

May have took too much off… paint could have been done by hand…

pretty sure it was a stens pulley maybe it came bent? not sure id have to see when i go back up. we used a machine to get most of the paint off but it didnt take off all of teh paint

i never put it on the tractor till it was painted and with paint it would not go on after sanding the paint mostly off it went right on

no i had the trans on wood and i spun teh tire by hand and i could see it wobble i may see if i can bend it back if it needs it

Is the set screw tight? Pulley slid all the way on the shaft?

Is this a cast pulley or a stamped steel pulley? Hammering on a steel pulley will bend'em

i took the screw out yeah and i only hammered it on the main part not the other part of the pulley and it may be casted cant remember and yeah i made sure it was all the way on the shaft

Yes I was going to ask if you tightened the set screw after you got the pulley into position.

The set screw should tighten it to the shaft and the woodruff key should be in place as well.

i finally have a answer for this. i was at my grand parents xmas eve and my uncle ryan said when reese would push snow sometimes the belt would start slipping when he started to push more and more snow so that bar was a leverage bar and when reese was plowing snow he would push down that bar so that belt couldnt slip when teh snow started to build up and get heavy. i thought that was pretty neat
