waffle 30 #1 Posted July 4, 2022 Somehow the RH spindle on my 416-8 snapped right off. I stole one off my 417A and put it on so I can mow my yard. I was told any spindle from a 400 series tractor will work. I just bought a beat up 418-8 parts tractor to steal parts for my other stuff and the spindles are different. On the parts tractor, the bracket that goes up to tie rod is taller and the curve part leading to the spindle is also taller. So I have a 417A, 416-8 and also a 418H and all the spindles match, but not the 418-8 tractor just bought. Now I'm confused on what to look for before I buy something else. Does anyone know the correct part number for the shorter spindles or have one I can purchase?
daveoman1966 3,841 #2 Posted July 4, 2022 I know EXACTLY what you mean. I just sold a new set to a guy in GB and they are too 'short' to fit his 418-8. I can send you a decent replacement RH spindle to fit. Yours have a circlip on bot 'ends', or does the horizontal end us a bolt to thold the wheel on? LT and RT are shown here. I lason have one using a cotter pin. $42 your choice...shipped in USA
