I have been looking for ways to re-power away from S/G setups at some point, and interference with the battery's stock location is the biggest sticking point I don't have figured out.
Thegearhead0324 1,692 #77 Posted Wednesday at 10:44 PM @adsm08 Yes, I actually did this because I tried going for a cleaner look and wanted to hide the battery. With a little trimming it fit nicely. I really like the starter/generator myself as it’s old school and quiet starting.

But parts for gear starters and flywheel alternators are a little more available, and if I can't get this K241 in the 1076 running right I might want to look at a Magnum re-power.
Thegearhead0324 1,692 #79 Posted 8 hours ago New seal is in along with drum and brake band. Hopefully it doesn’t leak, it does stop very well now. I did scratch up paint doing all this so gonna have to touch it all up at some point.

Ive replaced brake drum seal and brake lining on 2 in the past year, and it is night and day difference for me. I liked the fact it helps with braking in the backwards gear .
