Maxwell-8 4,367 #1 Posted June 4, 2022 I just picked-up this running and driving Wheel Horse with a 14hp 3speed The tag says 1-503 but tractor data can't find a 3 or 4 speed tractor with a 14hp engine. I really like the exhaust on it I think it is going to be a flip-tractor because I don't like the brake and clutch on the same pedal. Other then that it's a nice solid tractor. Was a bit smokey, but with a carb adjustment it runs very smooth.
ri702bill 9,509 #2 Posted June 4, 2022 Interresting, must be a European model. I see a headlight bezel, but no switch in the dash. Kind of looks like a B or early C series, but it is just BEGGING for an 8 speed transplant.... Bill
Sparky-(Admin) 23,253 #3 Posted June 4, 2022 In 1973-1974 there were a couple tractors with 4 speeds (B-80). These are USA models, so that might not be much help. It’s possible your has had a motor swap.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,510 #4 Posted June 4, 2022 Can you post a picture of the ID plate and serial number? All the numbers of the engine data decal might help also. The 1-503 is missing a digit.

Pullstart 67,011 #7 Posted June 4, 2022 Wait, you prefer a clutch and brake pedal separate? Maybe that’s just what you got used to… even my two pedal machines don’t get brake pedal action very often! Maybe it’s a B-140?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,510 #8 Posted June 4, 2022 1-0503 shows up as a 1972 model GT-14 1-0502-8 shows up as a 1973 GT-14 - obviously not a GT-14. Belgium serial numbers are consecutive from year to year so the serial number will help with the age.
Maxwell-8 4,367 #9 Posted June 4, 2022 (edited) After I did a full service on it, She happily went to a new owner that will be able to use it more then me and take better care of her. She will be helping out with the legged Horses. 15 minutes ago, gwest_ca said: 1-0503 shows up as a 1972 model GT-14 1-0502-8 shows up as a 1973 GT-14 - obviously not a GT-14. Thanks for the info, but I no longer have access to the serial number . 1 hour ago, Pullstart said: you prefer a clutch and brake pedal separate? By far, I can be way smoother with just the clutch. And gives me a more tractor feeling. And I almost never use my brakes, everything here is flat. So my brake bands last forever when on separate pedals.
