Check Craigslist. I think there's some left over cable for sale from the Mackinaw Bridge. Should work...

Trail cam of Kevin "inspecting" the cable for possible use in his shop...

I see regular boots. No flip flops, cowboy boots and jorts.

Something has always bugged me on the tiller belt.  Today I decided to look into the details of the parts break down.

Come to find out, the belt has always rubbed on the bottom of the fender pan because it was missing an idler pulley in the setup.  I always just made sure to stop the drive belt before lifting the tiller up.

Thanks to Wheel Horse being utilitarian (I think that’s the word), that idler was used on mower decks and snow blowers alike.  I popped one off a blower in the parts yard, and stuck it on.

My belt is very old, worn, and cracked, but still works.  It’s 5/8” x 87”.  The manual suggests a 90” length.  Could the 3” difference be made up with my top link?  The 87” belt makes this setup run fairly close to the fender, but it never touches.

This is all the way up.  Anyone see any reason I NEED a 3” longer belt?  I figure I’ll grab whatever I can find at the farm store between 87 and 90” long.
