If you have a fairly level area to use it on, I would think that a hydro might be an advantage because it would certainly be more steady.
squonk 43,335 #27 Posted June 12, 2022 I find manual lift 6&8 spd. Tractors work the best for grading.

Not sure if I could even pay her to drive my hydro. What are your thoughts on the differences? Hydro versus manual tractor for grading?
squonk 43,335 #29 Posted June 12, 2022 Lo range is more consistent. Hydro's tend to slow down and speed up. 1
Horse Newbie 7,346 #30 Posted June 12, 2022 I think with either the manual/ hydraulic lift, or the hydro drive/ manual drive, if you don’t have foot control on a hydro, you’re gonna need octopus arms !…

c-series don 9,785 #32 Posted June 12, 2022 Here’s my GT-1800 with mid-mount grader blade, and C-165 with 48” dozer blade. Also the grader Lucy and I used to run, one is more complicated to operate than the other!
Pullstart 65,736 #33 Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) I used the mid mount grader on Frank the 1073 custom to run up and down our driveway and really enjoyed the solid link and the hydraulic lift so I could dial I the dig and control the speed by hand. The grader usually resides on Jane the super light front ended Commando 6 and have good bite with that too.
