41chevy 74 #1 Posted May 31, 2022 Having a senior moment, which side of the fuel pump goes to the carb? Also any chance of turning the fittings for the fuel lines and have them not leak?
Blasterdad 3,044 #2 Posted May 31, 2022 Inlet left, out to carb right, (straight up). You can tighten them, just don't overtighten them if that is what you meant by "turning" them.
41chevy 74 #3 Posted May 31, 2022 Thx, so they are threaded? I haven’t touched them yet. I would like to move to a more favorable position, so if they are threaded I’ll turn them out, clean up the threads and seats and put then back hopefully to a better position. I’m familiar with aluminum threads so I’ll see what I can safety get.

When I get around to it I'll switch the pump outlet and carb inlet to straight hose barbs. Then it'll be a simple 180º bend of TruBlue fuel line. (A lot of the original 8's had this arrangement using copper tubing.) Edited June 2, 2022 by Handy Don
