C-Series14 15 #1 Posted July 3, 2009 While mowing today, a guy stopped by and ask if I wanted to look at a WH he had for sale. It is an oldie but a goodie. Serial number is 62-188??, H60 on it, might not be original, but the rest is pretty nice and all original! 32" deck looks great, all panels, metal seat, tool box, dash is in nice shape, has a different switch on the dash, push button to start it, all over good shape, and has been used for mowing. Started right up. So the question is, does the serial number make it a 1962 and the H60 is not original or is it a 1963 model with an original H60? Has the big arched front axle, sateering wheel down thru the gas tank. It is in really great shape, if someone is interested, let me know.
Michael Bullington 5 #2 Posted July 3, 2009 Sounds like a 653 to me..they had the push button starter...or it could be a 552 unless your positive that it is a H60, the H55 looks real similar and sometimes replaced with the H60, The best way to tell is the 62 has one tie rod and the 63 models has two tie rods both models came with that serial code...hope that helps :thumbs2:
C-Series14 15 #3 Posted July 4, 2009 I think it had one tie rod....Thde engine tag is painted over but I can make out an H60 on it. Will get more numbers with pics tomorrow. Thanks
