Wheelhorse#1 1,890 #1 Posted April 28, 2022 Well,I have the opportunity to pick up this 65 855. The fellow selling it say it was in storage and has no rust.but obviously it sat out for a wile.Other than that he knows nothing about it.Comes with a plow,he doesn’t know what type. Curious, what would you would offer if there is no major problems?
8ntruck 8,370 #2 Posted April 28, 2022 Not running, but essentially complete, maybe $200 to $300. Towards the low end if the engine does not roll over by hand, higher end if it does. Just my opinion.....
ri702bill 10,645 #3 Posted April 28, 2022 Ditto on the price - unless - if the Unidrive is full of water since it sat outside, it's done for, $125 TOPS
Ed Kennell 43,818 #4 Posted April 28, 2022 Yeah, I'm at $1-150 on that.
rjg854 12,639 #5 Posted April 28, 2022 I agree with Ed, I just paid a bit more than that for a 1045, which is a more unique tractor. It's pretty much all there and mostly unmolested. In somewhat the same condition as that 855.
Wheelhorse#1 1,890 #6 Posted April 29, 2022 (edited) Thanks for all the advice.I’ll check it out since it local for me, doesn’t hurt to look. One thing about it I like it Looks compleat at least. The fellow is asking 400.855s seem pretty plentiful though.I tend to gravitate to the older gear driven Gen start tractors ,there’s just something I like about the older ones.Dragging them out of the brush and bringing them back to life. Mike'sHorseBarn 3,373 #7 Posted April 29, 2022 I'm thinking that's an 856 but that doesn't really matter lol I saw that one on marketplace as well. My 855 was in similar condition and I paid $60 for and and ended up having to replace almost all the bearings in the transmission from being filled with water for so long. I personally wouldn't go over $150 on that.

I don’t know how flexible this fellow is,a lot of these folks ask way more than their worth. We all know most need a considerable amount of work just to make them mechanically sound.
