Hey everyone. I am new to this forum and a new owner of a ‘91 Wheelhorse 520-H. I am also a Jeep guy so am no stranger to turning my own wrenches. Looking forward to learning from everyone here as I restore as well as use this fine little tractor.

:WRS: Lots of 520 & Onan experts here.

First thing you are going to want to do is get all the manuals for it including electrical. They are all here.

:text-welcomeconfetti: to the forum.  Lots of good folks here who are willing to share advice and ideas.

Whatever problem you happen to run into on your tractor, chances are better than even that somebody here has already seen it and fixed it.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I have already spent some time looking around the forum and know I have found the right place. I will be searching and asking many questions in the months to come. I am old enough to have learned that I am not all that smart and the smartest thing I can do is ask for help 😂

:text-welcomeconfetti: to the :rs:      The 520 is a beast  and will serve you well if properly maintained.   There are many tips available to restore this tractor.    Failure of the rear cylinder valve seats in the Onan due to overheating can be a major problem if the cooling fins become clogged.       Removing the engine tins, cleaning the cooling fins , and checking for oil leaks around the oil filter base plate would be #1 on my list  before putting a used 520 to work.
