k181 needs new rings

ok guys so i did replace all that stuff but i think i’ve finally figured out my issue i have oil making it past the rings up to the top of my piston because with the head off cranking it i can see the oil start to pool up and my one head stud broke and i don’t know where to find another also have you guys had any luck with theese pistion and ring kits on ebay ?

Your piston is eroded away at the edge towards the exhaust valve. If your pooling oil just cranking it you probably need the cylinder bored. Don't waste your time and money throwing just rings at it.

so doing a hone won’t work ? i will be replacing the piston too

You need to have  the bore checked for wear and out of round. Especially if it's pushing that much oil. Just slamming a piston and rings may work for a little while but you'll end up right back to where you are now

Replacing the piston and ring and honing may help but it's probably just a bandaid.

i mean the cylinders bore looks really decent therese no big gouges or anything

Looks aren't enough, machining may be required if you want to get a lifetime's use out of your engine. This is not the place to scimp. It's your call. Do you want it to last or do want to do it all over again  :confusion-scratchheadblue:
