TJ5208 1,824 #1 Posted February 28, 2022 I have a P220 Onan 520-8 the battery went dead it reads low on the gauge I don't know if it's from running to less RPMs I put it on the battery charger all night last night. Would you guys mind posting a pic of the amp gauge on your tractors at idle and at Full throttle.

pfrederi 18,558 #3 Posted February 28, 2022 If per chance you do have an ammeter. if the battery is decent and it has been running for awhile the meter should show Zero
pacer 3,176 #4 Posted February 28, 2022 Ammeters are very poor in showing condition of both battery and charging. If you dont have one go get one of the cheapo 'multimeters' at HF or most any where $10-15. Ck the battery with it and not running the meter should read around 13.0-13.5+volts, when engine running it should show 14-15volts.
