JoeM 8,169 #1 Posted February 21, 2022 Been working on a C machine wiring. I have a few of the old 104680 PTO switches that are hit and miss. Looking at a new one, in excess of $100 on the Tree. I came up dry for a new reasonable replacement. I decided to take one apart to see what was wrong and the video showed the result. Not finding much out there on these switches but this repair just might buy some time. 2
lynnmor 7,719 #2 Posted February 21, 2022 Good information. Can you find any kind of a manufacturers number on the switch? Most of the exact switches can be purchased at places like Digikey for little money. I have purchased spares because they are so cheap, no need to pay crazy money because of the excessive markup.

Just CH, I figure Cutler Hammer. Looked until I was tired of looking. lol I find a lot of STDP switches but all are toggle type. Not much out there in snap style. It the repair doesn't hold up, I might use wisker style and double stack them. ?? Those are $7. Just can't understand why they don't last 50 years....only 40! I did find these interesting Edited February 22, 2022 by JoeM
