Cee245 844 #1 Posted February 12, 2022 Here is my 1997 416H. It is just shy of 1000 hours. I'm going to clean up a little bit tonight and should crack the milestone. I purchased this in 2006 for my .5 acre property with a beat up short chute blower with about 675 hours. It seemed like it was maintained decently before I got it. I repainted it in about 2008 with left over car paint for my Grand AM (Fire Red or something) . It's held up well over the years. Any problems I've had, I've gotten great advice from members here on Red Square. Most recently the ignition module under the flywheel. Big job, but not too bad. I've also been fortunate to get a tall chute snow blower (from a member that will recognize it) and a 2 stage blower and 48" plow from local advertising. These machines do everything I ask and more with relatively cheap maintenance and repair. I'm hoping to find another low hour "twin" package sometime to join this one and last another 25 years. 8
Wishin4a416 2,191 #3 Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) Taking care of it the way you do I would say it will make another 1000 with no problem. I have a single 12 and it is still going strong. It does use a tad bit of oil now a days. Over 2000 on it. Edited February 13, 2022 by Wishin4a416 1

Cee245 844 #5 Posted February 13, 2022 Thanks @EB-80/8inPA. I did the prep work and had a friend paint it. It's got its scratches and dings from use, but it's my worker. If you look close you can see we used bondo to cover the seam on the hood. I ended up adding the extra lights for snow blowing and HAD fuel and tach gauges hooked up from a 520. I disconnected years ago when I hurried and fixed a no start situation. I actually have a x530 that I got last year to bag once in a while and it works great and is nice to use. Problem is I like my Wheel horses more (also have a 85/86 417A) I'm curious if it's worth it to find a power bagger for the 416h or maybe a 42 Rear discharge and pull a grass catcher? (I have a 48 SD)
