wh500special 2,277 #27 Posted February 10, 2022 The 5xi’s are generally quieter than other WH tractors so the lift noise is more apparent. This is especially true if you happen to have the liquid cooled 520Lxi. Mine all whine when the relief valve opens at the end of the stroke. If you have a model with power steering, there is another filter in the hydraulic system in the power steering circuit. When it’s dirty it makes the lift and steering do erratic things and can increase the noise. Clean it. It’s behind the cooling air intake screen under the steering wheel.
