Fishroe 261 #1 Posted January 16, 2022 Does anyone know of a hour meter I could get for the 414-8 and what would you wire it to always a guessing game as to how many hours Thanks
Jeff-C175 7,206 #2 Posted January 16, 2022 I put this one on my C-175. Working good so far. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IZDIU4/ I would recommend you stay away from the cheap ones. I first got this one and the crappy plastic mounting thing wouldn't hold it in the panel. No good on a tractor. Maybe on something that doesn't move though... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MDQJ9WB/ They get wired to the 12V ACCESSORY circuit.
roadapples 6,983 #3 Posted January 16, 2022 Agree with Jeff on the second one he showed. Had 2 of them and they only worked a few minutes....
Achto 29,229 #4 Posted January 16, 2022 I have one of these on my snow blower. Very easy installation, no wiring required. https://www.amazon.com/Magicalmai-Inductive-Motorcycle-Snowmobile-Waterproof-Hour/dp/B07Y3ZYBLW/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?gclid=Cj0KCQiAoY-PBhCNARIsABcz773dKBUnRBiLLFzcfqA5vm8VRDLhLq4qaVj1h2UrUYPUXgJrJBzpG5QaAv8iEALw_wcB&hvadid=174219835579&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9019452&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=10644499838652367754&hvtargid=kwd-3719622397&hydadcr=24631_9648902&keywords=small+engine+hour+meter&qid=1642372148&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFTRVUzTFFMTlQ2NEsmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA4NTM5MDdIU1MxRzE0RzdPUVcmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDUyNjcyNjMxRTk4MFFaSjhWMEcmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl Not sure on the non-replaceable battery life. I have had mine for 6yrs and it is still working.
Fishroe 261 #5 Posted January 17, 2022 (edited) https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_7011837?impressionRank=1 think this would work Believe it has 2 spade connectors on back and is available at my local Napa and 2 year warranty Edited January 17, 2022 by Fishroe

Fishroe 261 #7 Posted January 17, 2022 No I could for now I think I might get the Napa one and mount it right beside the battery behind the throttle control lever with Velcro One day if and when I decide to take everything apart and repaint I might put a round one in then. The motor burns a little bit of oil so whenever that would need rebuilding would be the time for me to do everything
