smithka 7 #1 Posted January 15, 2022 One of my front tires on my GT14 is toast...dry rotted and broken off valve stem. I'm trying to pull the wheel so I can either have a new tired mounted or just replace the rim/tire. I've removed the dust cover, cotter pin, threaded nut, and outer bearing...but the wheel will still not come off of the spindle. It is loose (spinning freely from spindle) but won't come off. I tried both wheels with the same result. What am I missing? Thanks!
gt14rider 859 #2 Posted January 15, 2022 Smithka, inner bearing mybe stuck, give it a little wacks from the back with a big hammer, bearing and seal might stay on spindle, if thay do just tap them off
smithka 7 #3 Posted January 15, 2022 Thanks, GT14rider. I got it off. My first inclination is always the BFH...but it's nice to hear from someone else that I'm not likely to break anything...
gt14rider 859 #4 Posted January 15, 2022 If it can't be fixed with a bfm or a hot wrench, it can't be fixed
