DeepH2O 66 #1 Posted January 8, 2022 Does anyone know where I can buy cylinder head gaskets for Kohler M12 for a 312-8? Not seeing anything on Google. Thanks
DeepH2O 66 #2 Posted January 8, 2022 Nevermind. I was only searching the Toro part number and not the vendor part number. Found some. 2
oliver2-44 10,703 #3 Posted January 8, 2022 @DeepH2O some of us prefer the Head Gasket that has the solid ring (fire ring). it about a 1/8" wide solid ring right around the cylinder bore. I'll look in the shop and post a picture if i have one.

I do use a couple of woodworking chisels (straight and curved) working against a sacrificial wood block to clean up the interior edges and I have a couple of punches that were originally used in leather-working to make holes for screws/bolts. Thanks for the tips.I Cut a couple breather gaskets out last night.I’ve been using my surgical blades to cut. Ive decided it’s possible to get them absolutely perfect, not that they have to be anyway. wallfish 18,083 #8 Posted January 11, 2022 Even a cheap set of paper hole punches makes quick accurate work for the smaller bolt holes. Or the leather punch. The punch type you hammer on work too but these leave nice clean hole edges on both sides.
