DeepH2O 66 #1 Posted January 6, 2022 Do you guys know if there’s a difference in size of cylinder head on 10 & 12 HP Kohlers? I found one on EBay but it’s labeled part number KH10261 and advertises it’s for a 310-8. But, part number for 310-8 is KH10260 (10HP). I’m assuming since there’s different part numbers they’re different sizes.
Maxwell-8 4,367 #2 Posted January 6, 2022 The bore is different, so I would assume they are different.

oliver2-44 10,703 #4 Posted January 6, 2022 The part number comes up as for a Magnum k series which is the same and a good thing. Somewhere along the K series production one of the valves was changed to a larger head. I'm not sure if the head had to be modified or not. But this appearing to be a Magnum head would mean it would fit the larger valve if there was actually any change.
kpinnc 14,628 #5 Posted January 8, 2022 They also moved the location of the spark plug a couple times. Very little effect on the performance, but might not match the original sheetmetal...
