Nick 13 #3 Posted June 23, 2009 They still hold there value very well so it sure is worth some repairing it if its ok other than the engine. Ive never looked into part availability but have always wanted one of those. Good looking tractors.

sodbuster 1 #14 Posted June 26, 2009 :thumbs2: I debated on taking loader off this old tractor.with words of encouragement from all of you,I tried to get her running.with some help from a friend,we drained the tank, cleaned the carb, and the points(has no cover on it) we finally got her to run!! having a gas leak!! at the pump,we removed it,finding someone had installed a gasket with the diaphram,we removed the extra gasket. with the fuel not leaking we tried again.with our amazement the old girl fired up and purred like a kitten!! we let it run for 15 min waiting for noises in the engine.next we tried the hydro,it worked too! no noises.next the loader, tried it,and after a blast of hydro fluid to the face!! two hoses have major leaks.but the loader does work!! thats why I decided to keep her.I can use her like she is. restore on this is on the back burner!! have two in front of it. thanks again for the info, links, and help!! d180man 5 #16 Posted June 26, 2009 Hi nice tractor and good to see you are keeping all ! been there done that with the (blast of hydro fluid to the face!! ) but it looks like you got a good tractor to fix or just use asis! :ychain:
sodbuster 1 #17 Posted June 26, 2009 I debated long and hard over keeping loader and selling tractor! when I bought it the old man said it had been parked in the field for years.when it was parked he said it was running ruff,so I figures valves at the least! with a couple hours work, still need to remove rust from inside of tank! it fired up! my friend and I kept waiting for some strange noise,or ruff running once it got some heat in it.the old tractor must have wanted to stay!!she never missed a lick! with the rust in the tank, and all.so I had second thoughts and decided to keep her.I have a bolens 600 I am restoring right now! couldnt find an rj or suburban.this little tractor has a nice deck too.next is a match to my 121 hydro, but this one is a standard.then maybe the old allis will get a tear down!! looking for a gearbox for the finish mower I got with the allis. :thumbs2:
d180man 5 #18 Posted June 26, 2009 Hi what deck did you get with it? and do you have a photo?
