Found this 416-8 with 42 inch deck

Found this unit up here and guy wanted 900.00 but got him down to 500.00...

It has a 16 hp Onan and lost a cylinder..... need your input

I had a 416h it was a beast! I rebuilt the onan,went a little overboard! I spent around $600.00 for rebuild including machine work.couldnt have been more pleased with the outcome! until my brother talked me out of it!!

If you were able to talk him down to almost 50% of what he was asking, then you done good. If it runs good and everything's working on it, then that's a good price.

I have a 416-H and it's my favorite worker. Just bear in mind that the Onans are expensive to work on.

If it's lost a cyl. there's a good chance a valve seat has come loose, most likely the rear cyl.
