Grease fitting?

Recommended Posts

So I was draining my trans again today (previous thread about water in trans) and while jacking the front end up with a 4x4, see-saw style (me as counter weight) the fulcrum slipped (or something) and the next thing I know I was rolling on the garage floor. I'm ok and I thought the horse was too, but I found a grease fitting on the floor about midway back. The fitting looks to be broken off, and so I felt around the but didn't find any "holes", I just looked up the raider manual and it looks like there might be a fitting on the front yoke but its not labeled. I suspect this might be where it came from when the front end fell. If this is a fitting, I suspect this is a drill & tap project. Thoughts?

That is a grease fitting.  What you need to get out the broken part depends on how much you have sticking out.

Left hand drill bit and a drill in reverse may get it out.
