Tonyp 285 #1 Posted November 21, 2021 (edited) We enjoy FALL Season Leaves duty, the only part I didn't like was HAULING THEM off to the backwoods. with a cart or tarp. But then I acquired a Johnny Bucket . Heres the 310-8 ( purchased new in '87) towing the 5HP blower around the yard ( wife driving) and then we have the '79 C81 with a Leaves Box built into the Johnny Bucket to haul them off to the backwoods and dump them. I added a 3 " extension ( quick on/off) to the Johnny Bucket LIFT actuator , which provides adequate clearance to DUMP the Leaves Box. The 310 with the side discharge , cuts the grass and blows leaves at the same time . The Blower does have to be run at moderate speed or the leaves will blow across the yard defeating the whole purpose LOL The Leave Box can easily handle a larger TARP of leaves. It mounts to the Johnny Bucket with 4 Bolts, easy on/off. The Johnny Bucket lives on the C81 full time. The amount of chores it is used for is immeasurable . Gravel, Dirt, Mulch , Stones, Logs , Brush, etc... The reward for filling the LEAVES BOX is driving into the backwoods . Leaves Duty has never been so much fun ! This is proof positive that 1 Wheel Horse Tractor is not sufficient, 2 , 3 or more is required ! Our 3rd WH Tractor, the 315-8 , is dedicated to lawn cutting duty. ! Absolutely agreed. @SylvanLakeWH What was it we decided awhile back? I think I had said minimum 1 tractor per implement but you graciously corrected that. Minimum of 2 tractors per available implement should be on hand. Then when one is in for maintenance the other is used. And no cross usage is allowed for multiple implements. I E the mower should not be used as the spare for the plow etc. This clearly justifies far more much needed numbers to the herd. 2

I recall vaguely… Ponds Law: The number of ‘s required shall be determined by the following equation: = WH x IMP x 2 + X Where: = The number of Wheel Horses you need WH = The number of Wheel Horse tractors actually in your possession IMP = The number of implements you own, need or want X = Whatever you want, need or desire represented by a whole number If you do the math you will note it’s kinda like Pi… 1

Back in high school I took several years of electricity classes of different forms. We learned how to speak and read binary. Long since forgotten it but it sure was interesting to realize all those I and Os meant something.

Check out the "View" menu for the browser you are using (Edge, Chrome, Safari, etc.). I suspect you'll find Zoom In and Zoom Out options.
