Fire_rescue_18 0 #1 Posted June 21, 2009 I am a new victim to the wheel horse bug and I have a question that many will know. I changed the engine oil, rear end oil and greased both zerks on the front spindles and the one on the front axle in the center along with the three pulleys on the deck. Now for my question... any other grease zerks or fluids to be changed? air filter is clean but before I use her I wanna make sure that she has been properly serviced.. PLEASE tell me if I have missed something. Thanks!!! :thumbs2:
Sparky-(Admin) 23,138 #2 Posted June 21, 2009 There should be a zerk at the botton of the steering shaft. Its kinda hard to get to but its there. Does it have a fuel filter? If so change it and if not you might want to cut one into the line. Theres also a fuel filter/screen in the fuel tank. Its part of the fuel shutoff thingy under the tank but is only visable by looking down the fuel tank filler hole when the tank is just about empty. Mike.......... igota310-8 0 #4 Posted June 21, 2009 Definately do what Sparky said and put in a Fuel filter on the line. It's been a lifesaver for me! Eric
Fire_rescue_18 0 #5 Posted June 21, 2009 I added a stens inline fuel filter (hopefully there isnt a one way valve like most) and located the zerk at the bottom of the steering shaft and gave it a few pumps...Should be good to go???!!! :thumbs2:
