Achto 26,565 #2 Posted October 22, 2021 (edited) There should not be a spring on the carburetor. There will be a spring on the governor, this spring is going to be very specific to the engine as it controls the RPMs. did not publish a manual for the engines on their tractors, you will need the Kohler manual to service the engine. Here is a link to the manuals for your tractor. Edited October 23, 2021 by Achto
peter lena 8,068 #3 Posted October 22, 2021 @Achto , years ago , was having a carb linkage issue , tracking it down , found the culprit was at the governor shaft area , started penetrating oil working on it , rust started coming out , that was the entire trouble spot . detailed every movement point with lube , and regularly shoot both ends of that governor shaft , no more issues, governor follow is consistent , do this on my 3 kohler magnums , smooth , pete 1
