MSR 1 #1 Posted September 27, 2021 Our C-81 (Kohler engine) stopped unexpectedly while driving (the mower deck was not engaged). We started investigating the issue and thought the PTO switch might be bad, so we removed the PTO Switch. It had a thin metal pin (the size of pencil lead) inside a 1" spring that engaged(or disengaged) the switch. In the midst of this, the thin metal pin fell into the abyss of the mower, nowhere to be found AND we can't figure out how to reattach the PTO switch. Questions 1) What does the thin metal pin do? 2)Can I get a replacement of the thin metal pin? If so, where? If not, can I fabricate something? 3) How does the PTO switch attach to the mower? There is a hole, but it seems to swim around... Any input or advice would be helpful. Thanks

MSR 1 #3 Posted September 28, 2021 (edited) It is more like the 2nd one but the button is recessed into the switch and seems to rely on the spring to push it. I don't have the 2 hex & 1 circle object - are those like nuts/washers? Is that what I need to secure it? (My son took it apart and doesn't remember exactly what he did...)
