Rear Axle Capacity 1 1/8" Axle

Hi all,

I've been putting my C160 with FEL to full use lately and have been wondering how much weight I could add to the back with the 1 1/8" axles. I picked up some suitcase weights from third rock during last's years big show and can easily vary how much weight I add.

I built a set up with angle iron bolted to the frame of the FEL. The weights are just to the rear of the tractor. I could of made it farther back, but was concerned about weights hitting ground when tractor is tilted back.

I have put up to 300 lbs on and the rear still lift's when I get a full bucket of dirt.

I was wondering how much everyone has been using.

I don't know the exact weight of the hoe but it's gotta be over 500 lbs.

My problem is that the front is to light

I have 8 40lb. suitcase weights on a weight rack in the back and the Toro black wheel weights on my C-161 FEL plus the weight of me on it, been that way for years. Still going strong.
