I never seen or heard of this tractor. It is a 9 horse. Any thoughts. Did a quick search in the list of tractors did not see it.

I'm fairly sure those were marketed as a Raider 10. I don't know why it would have a 9 sticker on it unless it was a replacement.

That would make it a 1968 or a little later maybe.

Should be the limited slip rear axle in that. Looks complete. Something for sale?

So being an hh100 that's actually a Tecumseh 10 horse.

I wonder why they called it a 9 at that point. Maybe they were also using Kohler engines as tens?

The thing I've found funny is the Raider 9 has a 10 HP Tecumseh but to keep the two models separate :wh: called it a Raider 9,   :confusion-confused:    guess they weren't very proud of the Tecumseh.     :text-lol:

I don't think that's going to have an S/G in it Mike.

I have a 68 or 9 Raider that hasn't been fully identified because of disgusting paint covering the entire thing. That's the HH100 we borrowed for the military tractor. No SG on that one.

I had a Raider 9 several years ago. The engine was rated @ 9.5hp. Therefore a "9". Subsequent models produced 10hp.

Ran fine and strong until the electronic ignition failed. Cost more to replace than I was willing to put into it so down the road it went.

I had the same problem with my HH100.

They must’ve known a Kohler 10 hp was far superior to a Tecky 10 hp :text-goodpost:

It’s odd though, the same engine was used on 953 and 1054, but marketed as a 9 then 10…

There's a fix for that on the interwebs nowadays that uses I think...

A Ford ABS sensor of some sort and a GM 4 pin ignition module.

I heard about that but in my case the engine had other issues to boot. The only Tecumseh I ever liked was and is the OHH 160 in my Dads ST16 Sears.

Those are an interesting looking engine for the period they were built.

That's what's in my other 1974 c160 (future project tractor.)

It has been a good engine and has been rebuilt once.
