signman501 9 #1 Posted September 6, 2021 I have a 85 C145 Hydro. The hydraulic valve is leaking like a b***ch. I have put a new gasket in it but can't seem to get it fixed. Put on all new hoses from Wheel Horse Parts which was a bear. This afternoon something let go and it dumped most of the fluid. I took it apart but cannot find the leak although it appears that the valve is leaking. Anybody know where I can find a new valve or know where I can get repaired. I am in Martinsburg WV. Handy Don 14,128 #2 Posted September 6, 2021 Are you sure it's the valve and not the actuator cylinder that is leaking? Or a hose connection to the hydro pump? In this situation, pictures would be a big help to see what's where and maybe more easily get to the source of the fluid dump. Was the lift in use when it dumped, in other words, was it lifting or pressing down?
Handy Don 14,128 #3 Posted September 6, 2021 (edited) Adding another thought, have you done any work at the hydro pump/motor lately? If the pressure relief spring got messed with, the pump would overcharge the line and force fluid out. Edited September 6, 2021 by Handy Don
signman501 9 #4 Posted September 6, 2021 I have not done anything to the pump. I put new hoses and attempted to rebuild the valve just after the Big Show. I got the valve kit and hoses at the show. The valve was leaking long before the show, like about a year but not to bad. Only leaks when the engine is running and got real bad just this afternoon. I did all the rebuild about 2 months ago. Use it every week cutting the grass. The valve is under what I would call the dash and you cannot get to it very well. I have it apart to see if the local dealer can find anything wrong with it. I'll se if I can get new orings for the hoses too.
