anyone ever seen one of these?

Ive talked with Dennis Thornton about mini crawlers before on here and  usually see Struck crawlers for sale when a min pops up but when has anyone ever seen one of these Lennox Kitty Kats for sale? Ive seen them in photos and old advertisements but never for sale. This would make a fun rest project. I believe one of our members in HVAC is familiar being that its related to Lennox furnaces.

I would have to agree. Probably have to make them or hopefully be able to copy specs off another somewhere.

Super cute little machines.

Best not to show to my other half or we'll own one.

Then again, our land would have a new contour.

No sir not me! I’m going to hold out for a Struck if the right one comes my way.

I might be waiting awhile for that to happen. Lennox has a habit of burying  their bad ventures very deep. They were only made 2 years, '68 & '69. Oddly as scarce as they are they not highly desired by collectors. A fully restored one fetches about 2500 tops. Carcasses are more valued for parts. Tracks are made of unobtainium.

That’s interesting that they’re not that valuable but then again if I can’t use it then I don’t need it. I want tools not toys so if a mini crawler was in my future , it would be a Struck only because parts are still around. Why did Lennox even get into these? I always hear the saying stick with what you good at.

They had had a thing for branching out into other areas and being abit too innovative. Hot water heat, generators, fireplaces and solar come to mind. None of it really panned out and in the end they went back to what they were good at. They have a very extensive dealer network. Guys like me but the problem is we don't want to sell their non HVAC products. Too much on the plate already. So they tried to get tractor & implement dealers to sell the Kitty Tracks but they didn't see the market for them. They were too slow and attachment limited to be productive.

An exhibitor had two of these at the Owl's Head show. He drove one in the parade.

For the life of me I can't see this as a lawn mower. Kinda slow, tears the turf on turns--sheesh!

Another reason they went over like a lead balloon. Notice how the horse in the ad is saying "I can do better"!

Sorry, thought I'd posted these but ...

Mower version, though the mower looks non-functional!

And the tribute tractor and it's sibling.

She looks like she’s having fun. Probably waving to her husband who’s hoping she doesn’t run into the fence while looking at him!

I was at a garage sale today near Red Lion, PA, and found this posted on the wall:

I talked to the lady and she said it was her dads.  It doesn't run but that is to be expected.  If you have any interest, PM me and I will hook you up.

Thanks for looking out but I’m tractor poor at the moment. That’s a great find though. Thanks for posting it.
