burban91 1 #1 Posted August 19, 2021 my 520xi has finally had an issue and it seems to be a discontinued part. Anybody know or have a 94-7612 electronic module off a 520xi with the kohler ch20s engine? I have hunted around but no luck. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems other than a battery light I would just prefer to have it operate as it should.

shallowwatersailor 3,214 #3 Posted August 19, 2021 The module monitors the battery charging voltage. It is actually an unreliable "idiot light" on the 5xi. Instead Toro should have installed a voltmeter. You can ignore it as when the alternator stops charging (if ever) the low battery voltage will prevent you from starting the tractor. You could for piece of mind check the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running every once in a while.
Handy Don 14,239 #4 Posted August 19, 2021 Just noticed the Latin quote. Took me a couple minutes but I got there. Like the nod to Chuckles the Clown and the MTM show. Thanks for the memory.
Jack Orsi 2 #5 Posted August 28, 2021 I had a problem with the charging light on my 520xi coming on and off for over a year. I got the same response when I came on board with the problem. It was in fact the voltage regulator that was going bad. Replaced it and so far all is well. I originally thought it was the little module on the firewall as when I jiggled it etc the light would go out. Of course that unit is no longer available. Extra solder was added to the contact points on the male portion of the unit at the same time as replacing the voltage regulator. Good luck.
