Searcher60 209 #1 Posted August 17, 2021 Hello everybody. Fully restored 1969 Electro. First, I checked my rebuilt hydraulic cylinder, it will hold 100% indefinitely. So, my issue is with the old HYD-6 hydraulic controller. The deck creeps down faster than I would like. Apparently this controller cannot be rebuilt internally, only external leaks repaired? (none) I have the heavy 42” recycler deck, but it should still hold better, I think. Or, did the Electro with that controller never hold very well? What are my options? Thanks a bunch for all your help! PS- Recycler deck cuts grass leaving it look like a pool table top, I love that sucker.
pfrederi 18,711 #2 Posted August 17, 2021 Your electro control valve should look like this one. If it does Wheelhorse parts and more sells the two cup seals and the snap ring you need to overhaul it. (Good luck on the snap ring you have to have teeny tiny snap ring pliers)
Handy Don 14,128 #3 Posted August 17, 2021 Good news for you @Searcher60: possibly repairable AND the valve is right out in open, not buried deep in the hoodstand as it is on the 300-500 series tractors!
