That's not rough for 1977. Ah, freshman year in HS...  My '77 is much worse and still can mow the lawn like a beast. Wish I had that old Sunstrand. Good luck!

Very cool. I'll be looking forward to this one.

Sounds like you've got a good plan in place. Try to get it drivable fairly soon so you can test the hydro.

 

Should be a fun project for you.

It does seem to loo fairly good once you look things over.  I had a 79 that I couldn't find any paint on. This one looks like it was stored inside.

It has had numerous things done to it but no "modifications". Good paint and wait till you see the seat. That'll be late in the project I'm sure. Gimee a couple days:D

The PO with mine just bolted the seat to the pan. Makes for 'numb butt' during mowing. I do have to shop a bit for that old machine but I keep getting others that need 'the treatment' first...

I've not seen this machine with the pan on or the seat for that matter. The seat is nice and has the "u"shaped spring brackets.
