SMS-50 Sickle Bar Mower

I am buying a SMS-50 sickle bar mower that needs a part for attaching the mower to the 1054 wheel horse tractor. The sickle bar mowers appear to have at least two different styles of hooking the sickle bar up to the hydraulic lift bar on the 1054.

If anyone has photos of the part/plate that attaches to the back /undeside frame of the 1054 wheel horse please post or send them to me . If you have the demensions of the rear plate on the other two parts (102 and 103 let me know) that would be terrific also! Parts 101, 102 and 103 all appear to be involved with the lift of the sickle bar. It appears the 42 inch (and later model 50 inch sincle bars 506 SMS and SML) had a road type hanger with a u shaped plate to hang the sincle bar setup on the frame of the 1054.

Any information would be appreciated!

I am off to visit Jon Bell in Center Point this am. I have been wanting to visit his herd for a while!

This is a drawing of the 3 parts for the SMS-50 inch Sickle Bar for the 1964 Wheel Horse 1054.

If anyone has one and can provide me the demensionss for the parts I would greatly appreacaite it as I think we can make them with a little fabrication and balcksmithing of the metal.

Sorry I cant help you withthe 50", it's different from the 42" one I have here. If you decide to build a 42" style frame, let me know!

Did Wheel Horse make these SBM and are they better quality than the Haban units?
