SolarStallion 37 #1 Posted July 20, 2021 Hi Guys, I have three 312-8 Magnum tractors I have been using for the past 20 years. I have done repairs on all of them over the years and have been running fine. One I was mowing with was running fine, then just stopped while mowing. It has spark. Ran for a few seconds with starting fluid so I replaced the fuel pump. Gets gas up to the carb but will not start. Is there anything else I can check? OutdoorEnvy 1,397 #3 Posted July 20, 2021 Yeah what WHX24 said, and or clean out the jets, etc. Probably just needs a thorough carb cleaning and you can test the float needle/seat when it's off.
SolarStallion 37 #4 Posted July 20, 2021 Hi Guys, I don't know much about carbs but I did remove the bowl and it looked like the rubber O ring was stretched bigger than it should be and may have been hitting the float. I could not get the ring back on, it was too big, so I put the bowl back without it. The engine started right up!!!!!!!!!!! Seems to not be running as good as it use to, but not bad. Is there anything I can do to the card? Thanks for the quick help! The show was great this year! Glad there was a big turnout. I had my solar electric Wheel Horse there!
