Tire questions

Hi all. I am getting the D-250 back together. For those that didn't see my post? The D-250 took a ghost ride a couple months back. Causing major damage. Almost done!!! Anyway, I was looking for front tires for it. I would like narrower tires. Tri-rib is what I want on it. It has 18-8.50/8's on it now.  The rims are 8x6". What I am thinking? Or, should say?  I want to try some Deestone 4:00-8's on it. They need tubes. I think they will spread out to the 6" rim. It may look a little odd. But? I can live with that. The tires that are on it now are Carlisle 7 rib tires. They are like a implement tire. Good on grass. But? Horrible in the dirt. They want to slide instead of turn. Tri-rib would work better I think. Has anyone tried these? I can't find any in the proper size. I realize the 4:00-8's are about 3/4 of an inch smaller diameter. But? I don't think that would matter. If anyone has a better option? I am all ears. Thanks in advance. Pat

I found those today. $260 for the pair 😜? I don't think so. I am going to order the 400-8's and give them a whirl.
